I’ve always liked to tinker with cars and it’s something I want to do professionally. But a lot of people won’t hire a person who doesn’t have training. So when a teacher mentioned the auto program at ACTC, I thought it was a good option. A degree will give me a better chance to get a good job. I’m glad to be here. With the auto program, I get to work with my hands. It will give me a career where I feel that I’ve accomplished something at that end of the day - that I’ve fixed something or made it better. Eventually I would like to own my own garage. This is the first step.
