Learning Assistance Center

The Learning Assistance Center (LAC) is located in the Goodpaster Building on College Drive Campus, room G101. Our center provides one-on-one academic assistance to all students. We have 47 computers available for student use. Community members are welcome and encouraged to utilize our facility.

Our center provides the latest software for courses available to ACTC students. We also provide software to assist you with your reading, writing, mathematics, biology and chemistry. Printed materials and reference materials are accessible to support your academic needs.

Our Math Lab, located in room G103, is staffed by faculty to provide you with individualized assistance.

The Learning Assistance Center provides test proctoring services for online courses both within and outside the KCTCS system, as well as, COMPASS testing and computer literacy (IC3) testing. KCTCS Proctors can be found at http://www.kctcs.edu/distancelearning/proctoring.htm.

Learning Assistance Center Lab Use Policy

• Do not disclose or share your passwords with others, nor impersonate another user.
• Cell phones must be turned off or put on vibrate.
• Use of equipment for academic purposes always takes precedence over any other use.
• Adults must accompany children under 14 years of age.
• No food or drinks at the workstation.
• Do not print more than 10 sheets per day.
• Do to not attempt to alter software configurations, modify, abuse or destroy the computer system in any way.
• You may not use the use workstation to transmit offensive or harassing messages.
• Equipment must not be used for commercial or for-profit purposes.
