ACTC art students will display their works Friday, May 2, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Pendleton Art Center in downtown Ashland. The exhibit is held in conjunction with Ashland’s First Friday Celebration.
The annual Student Art Show features drawings by seven of the students enrolled in classes taught last fall and this spring by Wendy Fosterwelsh, ACTC Assistant Professor of Art. Works include acrylic paintings and drawings in graphite pencil, colored pencil, chalk pastel and markers.
Exhibiting students are Ashley N. Black, Travis D. Cordle, Heather N. Miller, Kellie J. Miller, Madison Moore and Miranda G. Parsons, all from Ashland; and Chelsea M. Morris from Catlettsburg
“My students work hard all year, and this is a chance for them to show their accomplishments to their families, friends and the community,” Fosterwelsh said.
