Learning Assistance Center

The Learning Assistance Center is the place to go when you need academic help.  This service provides free tutoring and other services for ALL Ashland Community & Technical College students.

All Students are Encouraged to Utilize our Facility.  The Learning Assistance Center is for everyone.

Our Math Lab is staffed by faculty in Room G103.

Our Center (Room G101) features state-of-the-art computers with the latest software for courses available to ACTC students, as well as, use of strategic learning videotapes.

Peer Tutoring & Small Study Groups to assist you with your scholastic needs in a comfortable study area.

Qualified Staff to assist you with problems or questions you may have.

Community is Welcome and encouraged to utilize our facility.

Help and assistance will be provided for study skills, test-taking skills, computer needs, compositions or research papers, and math problems.  

A wide range of printed materials that deal with a variety of subjects is available as well as dictionaries and other reference materials, texts, and study aids.  We also offer video material dealing with many study skills problems.

Our Resources include. . .

There are 53 computers with the latest software available.  The Learning Assistance Center also offers many computer programs to assist you with reading, writing, mathematics, biology and chemistry.  We also offer E-LASSI (Learning and Study Skills Inventory), COMPASS (ACTC entry placement test),  as well as individual counseling on learning styles and learning behaviors.
