Cooperative Education at Ashland Community & Technical College is a planned and evaluated work experience which combines classroom study with periods of related work.
Area businesses and organizations, in partnership with ACTC, provide jobs which offer students the opportunity to learn real-world skill in their chosen career areas. In addition to helping individuals gain work experience, these "partners" play a vital role in educating the workforce needed for the future of our region.
Students receive financial remuneration from their employers and academic credit from ACTC for Cooperative Education assignments. Participating students must be enrolled in an Associate in Applied Science degree program of study and/or marketable skills in their academic major, and at least a 2.0 grade point average.
Cooperative Education is offered in all semesters and sessions. Contact us for information on how your business or organization can participate in helping train students in becoming experienced future employees.
