NEW!!  BASIC RIDER COURSE 1

This motorcycle course is for non-riders, new riders, or someone wanting a refresher course.  Participants will be taught to maneuver and operate a motorcycle, using concepts, principles, and competencies for use of two-wheeled motorized vehicles. Course is approximately five hours of classroom instruction and 15 hours of riding exercises in a controlled environment.  The course is a minimum of 20 hours.  All classes meet on Friday 5:30 p.m. - 9 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 8 a.m. - 4 p.m.  All classroom and skills hours must be attended in order to successfully complete course requirements. Upon successful completion of the course, you will receive a waiver for the skills test to obtain your motorcycle license.

Pre-Registration and pre-payment are required for this class. 

Class Fee:  $100 for KY Residents/$125 for OH/WV Residents

What You Will Need
Basic Rider 1 Course:
- Eye protection
- Over-the-ankle boots or shoes
- Long, sturdy slacks
- Long sleeve shirt or jacket
- Full fingered gloves with a vinyl or leather palm
- Helmet provided, but you may bring your own

By Mail - Send completed registration form to: Ashland Community and Technical College, 1400 College Drive, Ashland, KY  41101.  Enclose a check, or credit/debit card information.  Do not send cash.

In Person - Come to ACTC, 1400 College Drive, Room 154, 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., Monday-Friday.

Payment - Pre-payment for this class is required.  Payments must be received at least (10) ten days prior to the start of class.
