Phlebotomists collect blood from patients/donors in hospitals, blood banks or clinics for analysis or other purposes. This six-credit course prepares students to be integral members of the health-care team, with attention to standard precautions, record keeping, vital signs and therapeutic communication skills. The eight-week course meets on Tuesday & Thursday from 5:00 - 9:00PM for 200 total hours. This is a 6 credit hour class and tuition is based on the ACTC Student Tuition Rates.

Below you will find a list of items that must be taken care of as soon as possible preferably prior to class. You can either go to your own physician or the nearest health department to get the PPD (Tuberculosis) which is required for all nursing programs:
If you have been a student at any of the KCTCS campuses (ACTC, Big Sandy CTC, Maysville CTC, etc.) in the past and have an outstanding balance from prior semesters there may be a financial hold on your account. If you have a financial hold on your account, you will be denied enrollment into this or any other class until that balance has been paid in full. If you have any questions or you are not sure and want to confirm that your account is in good standing, this can be done during your appointment.
From US 23: Follow US 23 Approximately 1 mile south of Greenup. Enter KY 67 (Industrial Parkway). Follow KY 67 south approximately 12 miles. Turn left onto Technology Drive. Follow Technology Drive approximately 0.6 mile. Turn right onto the campus.
From I-64: From Exit 179, follow KY 67 (Industrial Parkway) approximately 2 miles north. Turn right onto Technology Drive. Follow Technology Drive approximately 0.6 mile. Turn right onto the campus.
