Payment Information

The tuition for the class is $465.00 + $11.00 Liability Insurance Fee.

Please do not attempt to pay for your class until you have received a confirmation stating your enrollment has been process and a charge has been placed on your account.

Our bookstore carries scrubs, stethoscope, blood pressure cuff and the book and workbook (package), more information below.

Class Requirements Checklist

All of the following requirements must be met to be eligible to successfully complete the Nurse Aide Course:

  1. You will need to purchase a book, prior to the first day of class. This can be purchased at our bookstore and it will cost approximately $102.80.

    • Mosby’s textbook for long-term care nursing assistants (7th ed.). St. Louis, MO: Mosby- Elsevier, Inc.
    • Mosby’s workbook for long-term care assistants (7th ed.). St. Louis, MO:  Mosby-Elesvier, Inc.
    Book should be purchased at Ashland Community & Technical College book store. You will receive a text book and a workbook (state package) for $102.80.  The workbook is required and must be new.
  2. Below you will find a list of items that need to be completed within the first 2 weeks of class. You can either go to your own physician or the nearest health department to get the PPD (Tuberculosis – TB Test) which is required for all nursing programs:
    • PPD or proof if you have had one in the last 12 months, or chest x ray if you cannot be tested. This will require you going back to the physician within 48-72 hours so they can check the site for reaction (if you get the PPD).
    • Hepatitis is recommended but not required
    • Flu shot is recommended but not required
    • Please make sure all the items listed above are ready to turn in the first day of class (if possible) because of the time frame you will be working with and it is mandatory all is done prior to Clinical in the long term care facility.
  3. Scrubs (Royal Blue or Ceil Blue) and Tennis shoes (vinyl or leather) must be worn during class time and clinicals.
  4. Other items needed:
    • Stethoscope (recommended)
    • Blood Pressure Cuff (recommended)
    These items can be purchase as a combo with a carrying case from the Technology Drive Bookstore for a cost of $52.98 including the tax.
