Institutional Planning, Research, and Effectiveness

Institutional Planning, Research, and Effectiveness (IPRE) is responsible for maintaining a comprehensive planning and evaluation process necessary to improve the programs and services of the college.  The office:

• Serves as the liaison between the college and its regional accreditor (SACS)
• Provides hands-on assistance with implementing the planning and evalution process
• Collects, analyzes, and dissiminates college data
• Reports data as required for external agencies 

Institutional planning and effectiveness includes both unit and strategic planning. The college has adopted WEAVEOnline^® for this purpose.  The WEAVE Online process is as follows:

• Write expected student learning or program outcomes
• Establish criteria for success of the outcomes
• Assess performance of students or support unit
• View assessment results for analysis
• Effect improvements where indicated

Institutional research activities include the publication of the colege's Key Performance Indicators (KPI) report that summarizes student and employee demographic data, student success data, and institution-wide surveys (Community College Survey of Student Engagement, Student Assessment of the College Environment, Exiting Student Survey, Employer Survey of Students, and the Personal Assessment of the College Enviornment). In addtion to the KPI report, IPRE provides data as requested by program and service areas within the college that meet specific needs.
