The Ashland Community & Technical College web team invites all Student Organizations to utilize the capabilities provided by the new medium of the World Wide Web. Unfortunately, we do not have the time or resources to create a web for every student organization. Therefore, we have set up the following rules to guide you in creating your own site. Rules for creating an organizational website at ACTC: All websites must have an administrator and a technical contact. The administrator is typically the person directly responsible for all activities of that organization. The technical contact is the staff person, assigned by the administrator, responsible for maintaining and updating the site.
The administrator must submit a written proposal outlining the site. Who is the intended audience? What content will be included on the site? Who will be the administrative and technical contacts? Etc. If requested, the MRC staff will work with the technical contact to help that person design the site and learn to use the software and equipment of needed. However, it is the responsibility of the administrator and technical contact to build and maintain the site. The information on all pages must be kept current. Every page on the site must have a relevant title. Every page on the site must have a link back to the ACTC Homepage (http://www.ashland.kctcs.edu).
Contact information for the site administrator and technical contact must be on or available from every page. The web space provided is to be used only for pages and documents related to the activities of the organization.
The space is NOT storage for personal files, warez, etc. Before the site is linked into the Ashland Community & Technical College web for the first time it must be in compliance with this agreement. The administrator and technical contact must sign this agreement. Failure to comply with these rules may result in denial of service, denial of access or other sanctions as appropriate.
These terms must be met and agreed upon. To get started, print the form, add your signature and return it with your site proposal to:
Joe Nilles 1400 College Drive Ashland, KY 41101
Or if you're going to be at ACTC you can deliver it in person to room G305h or G308.
