This year’s high school graduates can transition into college with Summer Session II classes at ACTC. They can learn about college procedures and expectations while completing one or two classes that will give them a head start on fall semester.
Classes are available in general education subjects such as in art, communications, history, psychology, sociology and writing. These classes are required for ACTC degrees and can be transferred to four-year colleges and universities to help meet bachelor degree requirements.
June 16 is the application deadline for Summer Session II. The session starts June 30 and ends August 3. In-state tuition is $144 per credit hour, and residents of neighboring Ohio and West Virginia counties qualify for in-state tuition.
Admission forms and class schedules are on the web at: ashland.kctcs.edu. For more information, call the Admissions Office, 606-326-2000.
Summer II is also a chance for current students to focus solely on challenging classes, complete important pre-requisites, and shorten the time required to graduate. Registration for current students continues through June 29.
