Megan Horne Academic Coordinator
My name is Megan Horne and I am the Academic Coordinator for the Student Support Program. I oversee the tutorial center and also serve as a student advisor. I have earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Berea College and a master’s degree in adult and higher education from Morehead State University. My work experience includes eight years in higher education and working with students of all ages.
I am originally from Zanesville, Ohio and I have been in the Ashland area for ten years. I currently live in Flatwoods with my husband and two children – my son is almost seven and my daughter is almost two years old. I am very excited to be a part of Student Support Services at Ashland Community and Technical College. Ron McDavid Academic Advisor
Ron McDavid joined the SSS Program Team in August 2006 as the Program Academic Advisor/Mentoring Services. Ron has been with ACTC for the past two years in the CWED Department as the Director of The Entrepreneur Center and Coordinator of Workforce Development Training Programs.
Prior to joining ACTC, Ron taught in the Carter County School System as the Industrial Technology teacher. Ron has also held positions as an Engineer and Coordinator in the Industry and Manufacturing fields.
Ron holds a Bachelor of Sciences Degree in Industrial Education Technology from Morehead State University and a Master’s Degree in Career and Technical Education also from Morehead State University. Ron is also a graduate of Ashland Community & Technical College Machine Tool Program.
